Dress Code

Combination Tap/Ballet Classes

Leotard, tights, any tutu, shorts or skirt.  Pink leather or leather-like ballet shoes.  Black patent leather tap shoes. Hair securely pulled away from face.

Ballet/Pointe Classes

Black leotard, pink tights.  Pink split-sole leather ballet shoes.  Skirt or dance shorts.  Hair in SECURE bun.

Jazz/Lyrical/Acro Classes

Leotard or form fitting tank top.  Tights or leggings. (Legs must be covered.) Please see instructor before purchasing shoes.  Different styles/colors will be used – depending upon recital costume.  Hair in SECURE high pony or bun.

Tap/Musical Theatre Classes

Leotard or form fitting tank top.  Tights or leggings.  (Legs must be covered.) Black solid sole tap oxfords. (Shoes for TAP CLASS ONLY.)  Hair in SECURE high pony or bun.

Hip Hop Classes

Leotard or form fitting tank top.  Leggings or athletic pants.  No jeans or shorts!  Clean soled sneakers.

Please see instructor before purchasing shoes.  Different styles/colors will be used – depending upon recital costume.  Prior to purchasing shoes, dancers can go barefoot, wear DancePaws, or any jazz show they have available.  

Tap Classes

Black solid sole tap oxfords (the ones with shoe laces), not Mary Janes.  Brown soles are preferred over black soles. No split soles.  Bloch “Respect” are recommended.  

Hip Hop Classes

Clean soled sneakers.
